Narada State and Civilizational Analytics (NSCA)

Narada State and Civilizational Analytics (NSCA) is an Indic analytical framework developed by Dr. Sameer Pande.

The analytical articles can be read here –

  1. Narada’s Civilizational Analytics – 1. The Questions Before the Metrics

  2. Narada’s Civilizational Analytics – 2 – Reading the State

  3. Narada’s Civilizational Analytics – 3 – Narada Civilizational Analytics Matrix (NCAM)

It is based on the systematic questions posed by Nārada to Yudhiṣṭhira in the Sabha Parva of the Mahabharata.

The framework brings together 123 questions on governance, leadership, economy, intelligence, agriculture, water, military organization, justice, trade, knowledge, technology, public welfare and civilizational continuity. Each question is translated into a contemporary analytical framework:

Nārada’s Question → Analytical Domain → Modern Measurement → Civilizational Impact

The three articles published as part of this series are derived from this broader 123-question matrix and introduce the central ideas of NSCA. Together, they explore how Indic civilizational thought can provide a framework not only for reflecting on the state, but also for systematically analysing the strength, capacity and long-term sustainability of states and civilizations.

This is a developing research framework and will be further refined through textual study, source verification and methodological development.
